Problem: A Notes user may want to or be required to work locally/disconnected with a particular Notes application. To do so, the user is required to manually make copies or replicas of all necessary Notes databases and related files (DLL, SmartIcon, etc...). The application may also require the user to enter selective replication formulas for each database due to their size or place the databases in a specific path. These requirements and others make this task very error prone and time consuming. The same problems occur when the user wants to update the application or remove it from their PC.

Advantages: The time to install, update, or remove the application is reduced as well as the chance of installation error which should increase the overall satisfaction with the application. The application is also easier to support since all installations are consistent.
