Abstract

In localization/translation processes, the access to translation memories is either enabled through text extraction (out of context in comparison to the original format) and workbench or through cumbersome interfaces.

This text was extracted from a Microsoft Word document.
This is the abbreviated version, containing approximately 100% of the total text.

Right Click Translation Memory

In localization/translation processes, the access to translation memories is either enabled through text extraction (out of context in comparison to the original format) and workbench or through cumbersome interfaces.

The invention is about accessing the translation memories using the Right Click from the mouse. This gives flexibility and in-context information to the translation process.

From editing publication software or any application that can accept input for translation, the right click of the mouse gives access to translation memories. The selection of the input text is done by defaulting to current sentence or by highlighting specific text segment.

It gives flexibility to quickly access translation memories and allows immediate (after selection) showing of the translation in context.
