The structure of the CPP GMR with mulitple CoFeO layers is: NiFeCr/NiFe/PtMn/CoFe/Ru/CoFe/Cu/CoFeO/Cu/CoFeO/Cu/CoFeO/Cu/CoFe/NiFe/Ta Each CoFeO layer is about 5 to 10 A thick and adjacent Cu layers are also about 5 to

10 A thick. The multiple CoFeO layers enhance dR/R through their added contribution to spin dependent scattering of the electrons.
