Background:

It is usual that some applications are used simultaneously on only one laptop computer. However, in order to change an application to be used, it is necessary to minimize the window of the application that hides another application or maximize another window to see. But these activities substantially decrease the efficiency of our work. Therefore a laptop computer should have more than one monitor to increase users' productivity.

Description:

The idea is that one sub-monitor is attached to a laptop computer. An user initially controls main monitor and decides which window the user wants to view on the sub-monitor. Then two applications can be seen at the same time. In this situation, the user can write en e-mail (on the main monitor) with seeing an Excel charts concerning the e-mail (on the sub monitor). Moreover, the user can use a software (on the main monitor) by reading its web-manuals (on the sub monitor) This sub-monitor should be small enough to keep the mobility of the laptop computer. For example, the sub monitor is as 1/4 large as the main monitor and the sub-monitor is stored in the main monitor. In order not too thicken the computer and to keep mobility, the function of the sub-monitor should be limited.
