Using C2T cable chaining and service processor discovery ability for automatic KVM discovery.

    Disclosed is a method to use the service processor and C2T cable chaining technologies to automatically discover devices attached to a KVM and then automatically populate the KVM menu.

    The servers have an SP (service processor) and KVM (keyboard/video/mouse). The rack has a KVM concentrator. The SP's have the ability to do discovery but the KVM and C2T do not have discovery ability since they are just buses. Since the SP discovery bus is in the same cable as the KVM, use the SP discovery ability as the discovery mechanism for the KVM.
