Abstract

This invention is a car audio cassette adapter that utilizes the car's cassette player and stereo to create a hands-free cellular phone interface. This concept combines cassette adapter technology with external microphone technology, resulting in a portable handsfree kit for cellular telephones. The Cellular Telephone Car Kit Adapter can also be used with other cassette players such as portable cassette players or home stereos.

Invention by:

Daniel Alexander Chalfant

This invention is a car audio cassette adapter that utilizes the car's cassette player and stereo to create a hands-free cellular phone interface. This concept combines cassette adapter technology with external microphone technology, resulting in a portable handsĀfree kit for cellular telephones. The Cellular Telephone Car Kit Adapter can also be used with other cassette players such as portable cassette players or home stereos.

The invention uses the headset jack output of a cellular telephone and a 2.5 - 3.5 mm plug for the input to the car system. Either a battery or the automobile's cigarette lighter adapter (CLA) will power this amplifier circuit. The Car Kit Adapter concept includes a CLA Power Adapter that contains a DC power jack to provide...
