Abstract

This unit can be used as a semi-accurate means of determining cable length and the negative influence of low-performance, passive components in an HD signal path. The lookup tables contain correction data for each cable model. The display will show the selected cable model and its predicated length based on the equalizer's CLI output level. Readout accuracy is dependent on initial reference setup of the device, i.e., the HD input is connected to the HD source output and the level and rise time of the HD source signal is stored as the reference level.
