Background

         With the rapid growth and proliferation of the consumer electronics devices, consumers require an efficient method of filtering out the audio content that they receive.

         Audio devices, such as radios and portable players, do not support the filtering of audio content that is broadcast over the air.

         Conventional audio devices do not allow filtering and replacement of live broadcast content with user-selected material.

         The disclosed method is audio content/filtering and an efficient way of enabling a consumer to monitor, eliminate, or change the audio content that is received during audio broadcasts.
