Title:

Raster shifter for VGA output (HD100).

Abstract:

This invention is used to correct the horizontal alignment for projectors using the VGA output.

Inventors:

Jemson Montefalcon

William Bennett

Description of the Invention:

  1. Problem: Customers who bought the HD100 Set top box and were using projectors had a SYNC problem with the video. The video was skewed and there was no horizontal adjustment.

  1. Countermeasure: The invention is a network or Inductors and capacitors. What is does is delay the sync pulse on pin 13 on the VGA cable. Pins 1-12, 14, and 15 are all tied together. Attached is a schematic and data on delays obtained by the device.

  1. If this device utilized a digital method, it would be the preferred method, but would incorporate external power to drive the circuitry. This device is the passive method.

  1. Change the values of components to increase delay.
