Description of the Invention:

1.      When going to the video store, you often walk out with a stack of movies. Also, the store has to stock multiple copies of these movies.

2.      By incorporating a dockable hard disk drive (HDD) in a DVD player, current hit movies can be downloaded at the store to a HDD as a "movie pack" and rented for viewing. This HDD could be owned by the store and rented to the viewer, or could be owned by the viewer and downloaded by the store. The viewer would take the HDD home, insert it in their DVD player and watch the movies.
