Description of the Invention:

1.      Having sat through a variety of presentations, where the presenter used their laser pointer to circle a specific idea by repeatedly circling it, I see a need for a laser pointer that can be used in the same manner as a "telestrator"—those things TV commentators use to draw on the monitor.

2.      Assume a computer attached to a projector is providing the images. This is a pretty typical case.

Include a 3-axis solid state accelerometer in a laser pointer or laser pointer wireless mouse combo. The accelerometer generates motion vectors that can be sent wirelessly to the computer. A service running in the computer would receive these coordinates, translate them into lines, and paint them on the display.

For example:

Pressing the laser pointer button activates the laser pointer. The presenter then points the laser dot at the display. This is for their guiding the presenter.

Pressing the "draw" button causes the computer to start drawing at the location of the laser dot while it is held. Releasing the "draw" button stops drawing.
