Individual Heat and Air Thermostat Control for Your Home

This invention will allow a homeowner to control the temperature of individual rooms in the house without requiring separate heating or air conditioning units per room. This, in turn, saves energy, lowers your electric or gas bill, and provides a more comfortable environment. Some people manually adjust their vents when they need more flexibility in the air circulation. That can be labor intensive, especially if the controls are in an attic or crawl space.

These thermostats control a system of valves in the ductwork as well as the heating and air conditioning units themselves. This is certainly more economical than having heating or air conditioning units for each room. One advantage of this solution is the conservation of energy if a room is not being occupied. A second advantage is the flexibility and comfort it provides to household members in different rooms. A third advantage is that it will provide greater accuracy and consistency in temperatures because they are customizable by room rather than zone. Finally, you could use your existing heating and air conditioning units and ductwork and avoid the manual steps of frequently adjusting the vents.

The basic premise of this invention is that it allows automatic control of the valves within the ductwork as well as the operation of the heating and air conditioning units. The heat and air thermostat control will have individual valves that can be adjusted a...
