Abstract

A humidity insensitive carrier material is provided by treating the carrier material with a water repellant com-~ pound. Humidity insensitive carrier material is obtained by treatment with a water soluble silicone compound which forms a molecular layer on the carrier surface, The treated carrier material is then rinsed with water and dried in an oven, The treated carrier material demonstrates in a conductivity cell a uniform resistivity with an increasing partial pressure of water vapor while untreated carrier
