A fixture that is attachable to the photoreceptor drum
shaft of a xerographic copier to provide a measuring
device with an inside micrometer. It is used to measure
and/or set critical adjustments for components in and
around the drum cavity of the copier. The fixture mounts
to the drum shaft by a cylindrical sleeve with a locking
screw fitting over the end of the drum shaft. An elonga-
ted bar is axially adjustable in position relative to the

mounting sleeve, i.e., in a direction parallel the drum
shaft. The extending end of this bar has two holes to
provide a mounting seat for the micrometer. The bar can
be extended to gain access to areas which the mounting
sleeve cannot reach along the drum shaft. It can be
extended and locked at any desired position by a fric-
tional locking mechanism similar to that used in combina-
tion squares. Also, this bar can be completely removed
for storage. Alternatively, the bar can be provided with
an intermediate hinge to allow it to be folded for storage.
