Abstract

A one piece molded plastic microfilm container used for storing microfilm reels, The features of the container are as follows: (1) a one piece printed double label permits single imprint and provides visual subject matter identi~~~ fication on the top surface for drawer filing, and on the side surface for side reference and filing. (2) A hook- type hanger which permits the container to be stored on a rack-type storage device. (3) A purse-type snap lid closure mechanism for keeping the container in a closed position. (4) A notch molded into the container which offers an indexing method for even alignment and access when the con- tainer is stored on a storage rack. (5) Molded hinges.

  (6) A molded tubular projecting stud which provides at-
taching means and alignment of a retainer clip. (7) A
molded tubular spindle which engages the microfilm reel
when placed in the container and serves to center the
reel for proper alignment.
