Abstract

The present disclosure is related to optically erasable ribbons for phototyping. A photosensitive material capable of changing its polarity in response to light i~ coated onto a transparent receiving layer such as Myla~. When it is desired to image the transparency, it is exposed to light in imagewise configuration. When it is desired to erase the imaged transparency, it is exposed to light from the reverse side having the effect of changing the polarity of the photosensitive material thereby erasing the image.
