Face 12 is used to shape the coil front while said Coil
is still clamped between Faces 8 and 10. The force re~

quired for these operations is approximately 5,000
pounds. The apparatus also includes a hydraulic ejector,
not shown, for use in removing the finished part from
the Press after the shaping operation is completed. The
finished part is then ready to be inserted into an appro~

priately sized transformer core.
