Abstract

A paper pre~coating system is described wherein a sheet of support material 10 advances from a tray and is interposed between a pair of rollers 12. The upper roller has a polyethaiene release agent coated thereon. Thus, the sheet 10 is coated with a thin layer of polyethalene material as it passes through rollers 12. Sheet 10 is then entrained about transfer roll 14 and one or a plurality of toner powder images are transferred from photoconductive drum 16 thereto. After the requisite number of toner powder images have been transferred to sheet 10, it is advanced by endless belt conveyor 18 to roll fuser 20. Roll fuser 20 permanently affixes the toner powder image to sheet 10. Sheet 10 is then advanced to exit tray 22 where the machine operator removes the finished copy.
