Abstract

A toner composition for use in the development of electro- static latent images is provided by polymerizing or con- densing monomer mixtures including polyfunctional chromogens. The chromogens react to form part of a polymer chain, or may serve as cross-linking agents, and may react with functional groups or reactive sites on a preformed polymer to form a colored toner material. The colored toner material is reduced to particles less than 30 microns and is used with a conventional carrier.
