Abstract

A belt type toner reclaiming system 1 for receiving resi~ dual toner removed by a cleaning system and stored within a cleaning sump 2, and for transporting the same to a toner sump 3 of the development system in a reproducing machine. The toner reclaiming system 1 uses a standard timing belt 4 which is driven through a metal channel 5 by means of a drive sprocket 6. At the cleaner sump 2 the toner is dropped onto the belt and the channel 5 holds the toner between the cogs of the belt until it reaches the developer sump 3 where it is released into the sump,
