Abstract

One of the failure modes in xerographic brush cleaning systems is matting, clumping, or fusing of the brush fibers, This can result in not only shorter brush life, but poorer cleaning of the photoreceptor, with resultant degraded copy effects, A flicker bar with a cornb~like configuration engaging the brush is proposed to overcome or reduce this condition, Alternately, a comb~-like member additional to the normal flicker bar could be used.
