Abstract

A brush cleaning element for a brush cleaning system of a reproducing machine is provided wherein the brush fibers are selected to reduce photoreceptor abrasion and to reduce matting of the brush~ The base portions of the brush fibers which are attached to the brush core are made stiffer than the tip portions~ The soft tips reduce photoreceptor abrasion while the stiff base portions reduce matting of the brush~
