Abstract

As shown in the partially sectioned figure, the shaft of a worm speed reducer 2 is coupled to an axially aligned out~ put shaft 6 of a motor 1. Coupling is provided by including at the end of the reducer shaft 7 an axially extending bore 3 having a diameter which is larger than the motor shaft and a pin 10 diametrically extending through the bore; by pro'~ viding at the end of the motor shaft an axial groove; and by seating the motor shaft in the bore so that the pin is engaged with the groove.
