Amines such as triethylamine, tributylamine and trioctylamine
are effective charge ionic carriers in purified air~-saturated
dodecane. The (+) charges were generated by high~fie1d in~
jection of photogenerated charge carriers from the surface of

thin selenium films, in contact with the dodecane solutions
containing the amines. No charge injection from the surface
of the selenium into this purified dodecane was detected in

the absence of the tertiery n~alkyl amines,
