Abstract

~n electrostatographic reproduction apparatus is described. The apparatus comprises a movable support surface; means for forming a latent electrostatic image on said surface; means for developing the latent image with a liquid developer from a liquid developer assembly having a patterned applicator for applying the liquid developer to the latent image to de~ velop the image; doctoring means having a portion thereof in contact with the patterned applicator to provide developing quantities of the liquid developer on the patterned applica~ tor and liquid developer supply means; means to transfer the developed image to a sheet of support material; and a drive mechanism to move the support surface past said developing means; the improvement comprising heating means for elevating the temperature of the liquid developer and the liquid de~ veloper assembly.
