Abstract

This idea relates to solving a problem when a copying machine is designed for reversal development when laser imaging is the primary type of imaging that the machine is used for. in this system, in order to reproduce a document, a negative must be made of the document so that the image areas will appear as white on the negative and discharge the photo~ conductor drum in the image areas since the discharged areas of the drum become the developed areas. Referring to the drawing, it is proposed to image a document 1 onto a Ruticon 2 and thereafter image the Ruticon in such a manner that a negative image occurs onto a photoreceptor 3 to discharge the photoreceptor in the image areas. This eliminates the need for a negative original.
