Abstract

Coated electrostatographic carrier materials may be prepared by electrostatically attracting particles of a coating material to the surface of carrier cores followed by heating to cause the coating material to fuse thereto. The coating material may be attracted to the carrier cores by (a) rolling carrier cores down an inclined plane while spraying them with coating material; (b) dropping carrier cores through a cloud chamber containing a cloud of coating material; and (c) solids blending a mixture of carrier cores and particles of coating material.
