Abstract

It is difficult to form a stable dispersion of selenium with 0-25,u particle size for microimaging, This disclosure in-volves a method for dispersing selenium by the mixed solvent approach. In this method, a dilute solution of selenium in carbon disulfide is gradually added to a second solvent, which is selected from those materials which will not induce the crystallization of selenium, to form a fine dispersion of selenium. If precipitation intervenes, the fine particles can be redispersed.
