Abstract

Modification of the surface properties of polymers used in electrostatographic applications such as carrier coatings, toners, and photoreceptors may be provided by treatment with ultraviolet irradiation or crosslinking agents. Such treat-ment of the polymers results in modified surface character-jstjcs such as (1) alteration of the triboelectric behavior of the surface layer, and (2) lower toner impaction levels.
