Improved stability of triboelectric charging properties of
electrostatographic developer mixtures at varying relative
humidity conditions may be obtained by blending therewith
an additive material which has been treated as to control
its hydrophobic - hydrophilic surface characteristics.

The additive material is prepared by contacting it with
a suitable reactant to convert at least some of its sur-
f ace hydroxyl groups to hydrophobic methyl groups.
