Abstract

A system for minimizing free airborne particles generated by movement of a multi-component developer material 16 within a development housing 15 of an electrostatographic machine 10. The multi-component material 16 includes a relatively large carrier component and a relatively small toner component for developing electrostatographic images on drum 12. A filter member 32 with pore size ranging from about 20 to about 100 microns is positioned across the flow of the multi-component material and connected by nipple 40 to a source of negative pressure.
