Abstract

The figure shows a representative spoke 2 of a daisy print wheel. Spoke 2 has a four-sided cube 3 as the character ele-ment. Each cube face has a different font permitting multi-font selection without necessitating removal and replacement of the print wheel. A magnetic coil 4 is used to activate and index the font 900 per revolution, the coil acting against index arms 5. A bifurcated print hammer 6 is provided to prevent print face damage when the cube is driven against platen 7.
