An advanceable photoreceptor 10 comprising a hollow drum 12 and an elongated web 20 of photosensitive material the bulk of which is supported internally of the hollow drum while a por-tion 22 thereof is supported on the outer surface of the drum. The bulk of the photosensitive web material is supported in-ternally of the hollow drum by means of a supply roll 24 and a takeup roll 26, the latter of which is adapted to be incre-mentally rotated by means of a ratchet 48 and pawl 46 each time the photoreceptor makes a complete revolution whereby a prede-termined portion of the photosensitive web on the surface of the drum is automatically replenished each time the drum makes
