An electrophotographic imaging member including a photocon-~
ductive insulating layer which comprises a copolymer of an
organic polymeric material such as poly(N~-vinylcarbazole)
polyvinylanthracenes, polyvinylpyrenes, etc. and a siloxane
material represented by the structural formula

wherein n is an integer having a value of from 1 to about 2000
and preferably is from about 10 to about 200; and

R and R can be the same or different and are selected from
t~e grou~consisting of alkyl radicals having from 1 to about
4 carbon atoms, The siloxane content of the copolymer may be
from about 0.2% to about 10% by weight. The incorporation of
the siloxane with the photoconductive material provides a mem~
ber which exhibits improved image transfer and cleaning pro~-~
erties.

In one embodiment the copolymer can be dispersed throughout a
matrix of a homopolymer of the monomer with which the siloxane
is copolymerized.
