In order to reduce the occurrence of failures, it is proposed
to wipe a lubricant saturated pad 3 across the edge 2 of the
blade, This is accomplished by pivoting the blade away from
the surface 1 and then drawing a lubricant impregnated pad 3
across the blade edge 2 from end to end, A spring loaded
mechanism or motor 4 is utilized to periodically pivot the
blade away from the surface 1 and move the lubricant pad 3
across the blade edge 2.
