Abstract

Imaged transparencies used in the projection of an image onto a surface to be viewed can be prepared xerographically in a standard Xerox 6500 color copier by simply imaging a transpar-ent thermoplastic film sheet in the same manner that a copy paper is used to receive a toner developed latent image. Upon fixing the powder image to the transparency, the transparency is then capable of being used with a projection apparatus to project the fixed powder image onto a viewing surface.

Imaged transparencies used in the projection of an image onto
a surface to be viewed can be prepared xerographically in a
standard Xerox 6500 color copier by simply imaging a transpar-
ent thermoplastic film sheet in the same manner that a copy
paper is used to receive a toner developed latent image. Upon
fixing the powder image to the transparency, the transparency
is then capable of being used with a projection apparatus to
project the fixed powder image onto a viewing surface.

It has been found that by coating a transparent thermoplastic
film sheet with a blushable resin material, such as cellulose
acetate butyrate, that an improved transparency results when
the image is formed by colored toner particles. Specifically,
adhesion of the multicolored image is improved, thus per-
mitting reproduction of colors and color densities in the
projected image which correspond to the multicolored original
copied~.
