Abstract

There is described a liquid crystal imaging member which com-prises in part a glass substrate, an 1n203 conductive layer, a thin layer of zinc sulphide, a photoconductive layer and a layer of dielectric mirror-adjacent to the liquid crystal. The zinc sulphide layer provides a satisfactory substrate-photoconductor bond to prevent separation of these layers at the temperature (200°C) used in the process of coating the dielectric mirror over the photoconductor. A deposition rate of 1 Angstrom per second to produce a film of about 500 Angstroms of zinc suiphide with the substrate temperature within the range of 200°C to 250°C has been found satisfac-tory.
