Abstract

A conductive transport belt is used in an uphill, magnetic brush development system whereby developer material is trans-ported through the development zone by a conductive, non-magnetic belt. The developer material is maintained on the belt by multiple bar magnets which are aligned parallel to one another and to the axis of the photoreceptor which is located beneath the belt surface. This magnetic orientation causes a series of closely spaced developer nips to form which allow the latent image to be developed.
