Abstract

Electrostatic latent images may be formed and developed by a liquid development system which utilizes an ion stream. An electrode configuration capable of generating a non-uniform electric field is immersed in a liquid developer composition containing finely-divided, uncharged pigment particles dis-persed in an insulating liquid. Upon applying a potential, the pigment particles are directed towards an imaging member bearing an electrostatic latent image.
