Abstract

A highlight color system is achieved by reproducing an orig-inal document having a black portion and a color highlighted portion in a monochromatic color, Thereafter, the original document and the copy are placed in superimposed registration with one another. At this time, radiation is transmitted through the original document onto the copy. The radiation is absorbed by the original document in the black regions and transmitted to the copy in the non-black regions. This radia-tion will react with toner to bleach or change the color thereof resulting in a color highlighted copy.
