Abstract

Electrostatographic carrier particles are typically coated with a polymer material to control or alter their tribo-electric charging properties- Such coated carrier particles may be further modified by diffusing monomers of a different resin into the coating and then effecting in-situ polymeri-zation- Polymerization of the sorbed monomer(s) may be accomplished via thermal, glow discharge, ultraviolet, electron or X-ray irradiation-
