Abstract

In a xerographic system using magnetic brush development, exact angle setting of the magnets are important to obtain proper image development and developer transport. A device for achieving fast, accurate settings is shown in the figure0 A razor edge 1 is placed against the flat surface of magnet support shaft 2 to ensure exact positioning for repeatable measurements, Using leveling bubble 3 as a reference, magnet angle changes can be measured by the swing of the degree scale 4 which is fixed to the razor edge. By means of this method, accuracy within ± .25 degree is obtained,
