Title:

Portable Electronic Flow Meter

Abstract:

A portable electronic flow meter that can be placed in line with the mechanical flow meters to be used for comparison and calibration of the fixed inline meters.

Inventors:

David Allen Murtishaw

Christopher Bjork

Description of the Invention:

  1. During the neck wash process, it is necessary to maintain a constant air flow, any fluctuation could cause water to get back into the CRT causing defects. The problem is in the accuracy of the mechanical flow meters used. There is currently no way of monitoring the performance of these meters or to calibrate them.

  1. By setting up an electronic flow meter in a stand alone enclosure we can attach this in line with the current meter and verify the accuracy of the mechanical flow meter.
