Abstract

Disclosed is a toner useful for developing images in electrophotographic systems, which contains as an additive semicrystalline polymers such as polyesters including, for example, polyhexamethylene sebacate and copolymers of hexamethylene sebacate and 2-methyl,2-ethyland 1,3-propylenesebacate, These additives in one embodiment reduce the fusing energy of the toner by lowering the flow temperature and reduce the rate of thermal decomposition of the base resin, Materials containing such additives are useful in flash fusing systems and hot roll fusing environments.
