Abstract

To prevent arcing between the high voltage biased corotron wire 2 of corona generator I and the closely spaced xerographic photoreceptor drum 3, a flat, flexible, insulative thermoplastic strip 4 is inserted into channel 5 of corona generator 1. The dimension of strip 4 is chosen to permit strip 4 to be curved into a U-shaped configuration between the opposing sides 7 of generator 1. This retains strip 4 in place yet permits ready repositioning or removing of the strip 4.
