Abstract

Disclosed is a process wherein a magnetic microfield donor belt is employed to transport and hold in place a layer of insulating magnetic toner. The toner layer is imagewise charged and subsequently electrostatically transferred to paper. The charge pattern may be deposited by ion currents, contact with electrodes or any other suitable means.
