This disclosure relates to a release agent management system for use in a roll fuser apparatus. More specifically, it relates to a system of the I1downhill" type (i.e., a reservoir containing release agent is disposed above the wicking media).

A quantity of release agent material such as silicone oil 10 is contained in a reservoir 12 which is pivotally mounted as indicated at 14. A wicking media 16 comprising Nomex (a trademark of E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Co.) is attached at the end of the reservoir opposite the pivotally mounted end 14. Attachment is effected by means of a flexible seal 18 affixed to the reservoir 12 as indicated at 20 and attached to the wicking media 16 by means of a nut and bolt arrangement 22,

the nut and bolt also being attached to the side wall of the reservoir. The wicking media contacts a fuser roll 24. Adjustments in flow rate can be accomplished by compressing the wick through tightening of the nut and bolt while the reservoir is in the solid line position.
