Abstract

A toner dispensing control is provided with a nominal toner dispensing rate as well as both increased and reduced dispensing rates of the toner. The toner dispensing control includes a main drive shaft 10 having one drive member 11 to interact with the other drive mechanism and a Geneva drive pin 12 to interact with a Geneva wheel 13 having an integrally molded cam 16 in its opposite side. A cam follower 17 rides on the surface of cam 16 and through the shaft 18 having two one-way clutches incrementally rotates the toner dispenser shaft pin 19 to dispense toner. The movement of the cam follower 17 is controlled by a return to nominal limiting cam 20, which limits the amount of incremental rotation of the cam follower and thereby of the toner dispenser shaft pin 19.
