Abstract

When documents are moved onto the glass exposure platen of a copier by an automatic document handler, a static charge builds up, which may cause the document to stick to the glass, making it difficult for the document handler to remove the document. To reduce this charge, tinsel-type static eliminators 2 may be placed within the run of the document belt 4 adjacent the document entry and exit areas. Further, a static eliminator 6 may also be placed adjacent the exterior surface of the document belt opposite the platen glass.
