Abstract

Disclosed is an improved transfer paper, which contains a pigmented overcoating comprised of Ludox LS (commerically available from E. I. du Pont de Nemours dc Co.) and isopropanol. Ludox is comprised of an aqueous, colloidal silica solution. In one embodiment, the coating formulation is comprised of 100 parts per weight of Ludox LS and 500 parts per weight of isopropanol.

Ludox is comprised of an aqueous, colloidal silica solution. In one embodiment, the coating formulation is comprised of 100 parts per weight of Ludox LS and 500 parts per weight of isopropanol.

The improved treated paper can be used in color imaging systems for the purpose of duplicating color images and transferring them to various fabrics such as T-shirts. This type of paper eliminates photoreceptor contamination, and further, the overcoated paper provides improved surf ace frictional properties and better image quality.
